Job summary

Arcare is offering casual housekeeping roles at our Australian aged care facilities. You will maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents, supporting a high-quality care standard.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, waste management, infection control, stocking supplies and operating cleaning equipment. We value adaptability, teamwork and clear communication from all staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and other areas.
• Dispose of waste including medical waste following safety guidelines.

• Stock cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents and staff.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, trolleys and related consumables.

Your responsibilities involve maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our residents.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
• Waste Management: Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
• Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
• Stocking Supplies: Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies (such as soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning agents) are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
• Equipment: Using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning trolleys and consumables.
