Joliet Junior College invites applications for a part-time Lab Assistant in the Clean Jobs Bridge Program in Joliet, IL. The role supports CEJA instructors and students in construction basics, focusing on safe use of tools and proper lab conduct.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with knowledge in construction or clean energy fields and a commitment to diversity and equity in education. Forklift certification and bilingual skills are a plus.

Mansioni

• Meet with instructor to discuss daily lab needs.
• Assist students with safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Inform instructor of any student misconduct or safety concerns.
• Report accidents or equipment malfunctions to CEJA Training Manager.
• Monitor tool storage and ensure proper return after each class.
• Inspect lab space and restore it to its original state after class.
• Maintain safety principles to ensure a secure environment.
• Assist instructor with inventory, cleanliness and instruction as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude and foster a constructive learning environment.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
