Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge in construction, building trades, manufacturing tech, or related clean energy fields.
• Commitment to working with diverse populations and equity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, instructors, and CEJA team.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with college and community.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the construction basics instructor to discuss lab needs.
• Assist students with safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Inform instructor of any student misconduct or students leaving lab.
• Promptly report accidents, unsafe behavior or equipment malfunctions.
• Monitor storage of tools and supplies and ensure proper return after class.
• Inspect lab space and restore it to its prior condition after each class.
• Maintain safety principles to ensure a secure work environment.
• Assist instructor with inventory, cleanliness, and instruction as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude to foster a positive learning environment.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
