Job summary
The Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Community Living Center Registered Nurse (RN) at CHYVAMC. Qualifications
- English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
- Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN/CCNE and licensed to practice.
- State license with temporary appointment option and conversion after bridge program completion.
- Foreign educated nurses require degree equivalency validation by a recognized body.
- Grandfathering provisions apply for VA 0610 series employees as of 1/29/2024.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise nursing care using the nursing process for residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Administer medications and treatments per policy; ensure safety and quality.
- Supervise LPNs/LNAs; manage unit flow and daily reports.
- Support resident rights and a home-like environment within the CLC.
