Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Community Living Center (CLC) Registered Nurse (RN) in the CHYVAMC. The RN will perform direct patient care, supervise licensed practical nurses and CNAs, administer medications, and oversee complex resident care with leadership and clinical expertise.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in the United States.
• Experience with IV therapy and medication administration.
• Ability to supervise licensed practical nurses and CNAs.
• Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to plan and deliver direct patient care.
• Administer medications and procedures per policies.
• Coordinate care focusing on patient education, self-management and satisfaction.
• Lead as Charge Nurse and supervise unit staff.
• Collaborate with MDS coordinator to ensure accurate RUG scores.
