Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist teachers in instructional and supervisory tasks. You will support lesson preparation, help with student activities, and tutor students in small groups as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills. Previous experience is helpful, and you may work in Title I settings where additional credit or ParaPro testing is needed. Hours are part-time and schedule varies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• If working in a Title I school, 48 hours of college credit or pass the ParaPro exam.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Effective written and oral communication required.
• Ability to interact positively with students and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of instruction materials.
• Assist in the instruction of students and classroom activities as needed.
• May tutor students individually or in small groups.
• Assist in administering tests and monitoring student progress.
• Maintain accurate data on assigned students and communicate with teachers and parents.
