The Classroom Technology Support Technician at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville provides frontline support for classroom technology across multiple buildings. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
• Comfortable entering classrooms during active sessions and providing in-the-moment support
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic familiarity with computers and AV equipment is helpful, but not required
• Ability to learn and apply new technical knowledge quickly through training
• Must be able to navigate between buildings and classrooms during assigned shifts
• Available to commit to at least 1 opening shift per week

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to in-class technology issues during scheduled hours
• Troubleshoot common classroom technology problems (e.g., projectors, classroom PCs, microphones, and display systems)
• Assist instructors in operating AV or computing equipment
• Perform basic checks of classroom tech setups to ensure functionality before and between classes
• Communicate unresolved technical problems to full-time support staff or escape as necessary
• Maintain a professional and helpful presence in classroom environments
• Document incidents and support activities using provided reporting tools
• Provide front office reception support
• Support faculty and staff computers including new setup and troubleshooting existing issues as they arise
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
