Job summary

North Bend School District is seeking an Educational Assistant for a 10-month, 6.5 hours/day position. Under supervision, you will support the teacher, prepare instructional materials, supervise students and help implement classroom discipline.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree or two years of college, and the ability to work collaboratively, follow instructions, and maintain confidentiality. A $150 monthly supplement is provided for ALS assignments if applicable.

Qualifications

• Transcript documentation Associate's Degree or two years of college (72 quarter hours) or passed the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment test.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences for students.
• Assist the teacher in devising strategies reinforcing material based on individual needs.
• Assist in instruction in group or one-on-one settings, often without direct supervision.
• Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and staff.
• Monitor classroom management per the District's discipline procedures.
• Supervise students in and outside the classroom and ensure a safe environment.
