Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be Highly Qualified by exam or credits/degree as specified.
• Must have effective written and oral self-expression.
• Completion of Red Cross First Aid Course with CPR within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with strategies tailored to individual students or groups.
• Guide independent study, enrichment, and remedial work as directed.
• Serve as chief information source for substitutes in absence of regular teacher.
• Perform routine classroom tasks with small groups or individuals under supervision.
• Confer with the classroom teacher on student assignments or disciplinary issues.
• Assist with grading, monitoring behaviors, and handling instructional materials.
