Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Must be Highly Qualified by means of: a) passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam or b) 48 semester credit hours with 6 hours in Math and 9 hours in English/Reading (3 in English Comp) or c) Associate degree (AA/AS/AAS) from an accredited institution.
• d. Must possess effective written and oral self-expressive skills
• e. Satisfactory completion of Red Cross First Aid Course including CPR within 60 days of employment

Responsibilities

• The paraprofessional will perform duties under the direct supervision of a teacher.
• Assist the teacher with teaching-related activities.
• Carry out delegated activities and assignments as directed by the teacher.
• Work in the classroom in direct involvement with children when planning has been done by the teacher.
