Job summary

Temporary Staffing Professionals in Needham is seeking an Instructional Aide/Assistant to provide direct classroom support to students and assist teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and behavioral support services.

In this on-site contract role, you will work under a certified teacher, support students with academic tasks, help implement IEP goals, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or completion of 48 college units preferred.
• Paraprofessional certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
• Experience working with children in school or special education setting preferred.
• Ability to support students with mild/moderate needs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group instructional support under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and classroom activities.
• Support students with behavioral needs and implement behavior intervention strategies as directed.
• Help reinforce IEP goals and accommodations within the classroom setting.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a structured learning environment.
• Support students with daily living skills, mobility, or personal care as needed.
• Collect and document student progress data.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
• Ensure student safety and maintain confidentiality at all times.
