Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under licensed staff direction. You will support individual and small groups, reinforce learning, prepare classroom materials, and help with behavior management.

Duties include basic clerical tasks and assisting with events and field trips. Requirements include a background check, HSE diploma, and the ability to work with diverse students.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments must meet one of several education requirements (two years of college, associate degree, or demonstrated knowledge in reading, writing, mathematics)

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. (Daily)
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups (Daily)
• Monitor students and reinforce behavior during activities (Daily)
• Perform basic clerical work in the classroom (Daily)
• Assist with field trips or fire drills as necessary (Daily)
• Perform other duties as assigned (Daily)
