Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe education needs under licensed special education staff. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignments.

Prepare instructional materials, monitor progress, and maintain achievement records in a safe environment. In remote learning contexts, assist with technology access and curriculum reinforcement.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• HSE diploma required
• No professional work experience required
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training required

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum for individual needs
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress/behavior records with licensed staff
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance, and related documentation
• Support online/remote learning activities and technology troubleshooting
• Perform other duties as assigned
