Granite School District in Salt Lake City is seeking a part-time paraeducator (29 hours/week) to assist teachers in instruction and supervision under the direction of the principal and classroom staff.

The role requires punctuality, reliability and the ability to follow directions, with duties including preparing instructional materials, supporting classroom activities, tutoring students, monitoring progress and maintaining confidentiality.

Formación

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to follow directions given.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Ability to assist students in a variety of situations as they arise.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Title I qualification options may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in the preparation of instruction materials.
• Assists in the instruction of students and other classroom activities as needed.
• May tutor students individually or in small groups.
• Assists in the administration of tests and monitors students' academic progress.
• Keeps accurate data on assigned students or group of students.
• Maintains professional confidentiality regarding student information.
• Maintains effective and positive communication with students, teachers, parents, patrons and administration.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be able to work assigned hours.
