Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under a licensed staff member’s supervision. Responsibilities include preparing materials, supporting curriculum delivery, and reinforcing behavior and discipline procedures.

The role involves assisting with classroom activities for individuals and small groups, along with light clerical tasks and event support. It may include work with behaviorally challenging students.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I requirements: two years of college or an associate degree or demonstrated knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher by preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance.
• Assist with curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups to ensure mastery.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities.
• Perform basic clerical work for the teacher: typing, filing, data entry, supplies ordering.
• Assist with field trips and other classroom events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
