Job summary

South Columbus Preparatory Academy at German Village in Columbus, Ohio, seeks an Instructional Aide to support the teacher with classroom activities and promote a positive student environment. You will assist with lesson delivery, parent relations, and school events while helping maintain a safe, respectful climate.

Qualifications include an associate degree or two years of college, MS Office proficiency, a BCI/FBI check, and the ability to lift 25-40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college coursework or Paraprofessional Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• BCI/FBI background check completed.
• Ability to meet educational standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Help plan classroom activities and assist with parent relations.
• Assist with school activities and events, chaperone, and support committees.
• Perform clerical duties such as grading and photocopying.
• Assist the Teacher with the use of classroom technology.
• Maintain cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom and other school areas.
• Follow the school's philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned, including field trips and duties.
