Freedom Preparatory Academy is seeking Instructional Aides to support our growing network of charter schools in Birmingham, AL. A bachelor's degree is required to be considered.

Candidates with urban teaching experience and the ability to work with diverse learners are preferred, along with strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years urban teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse learners in heterogeneous classes.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Model the network’s core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, community, and excellence.
• Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations in the classroom.
• Foster students’ positive view of self and support development across SEL, physical and cognitive areas.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Create and maintain a positive classroom culture.
• Reinforce school rules; assist with lesson planning and curriculum materials.
• Maintain required records in compliance with laws and district rules.
• Collaborate with leadership to support all students’ success.
• Adhere to state and federal reporting obligations.
