Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy seeks Instructional Aides to support our growing network of charter schools in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on assisting classroom teachers, promoting a respectful, responsible and excellent learning environment, and fostering student growth across cognitive and social domains.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree and TN teaching license with endorsements (or reciprocity), with urban teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license and endorsement(s) in the hired content area OR reciprocity with TN OR enrollment in a certification program with eligibility for licensure.
• Two years of urban teaching experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities in a heterogeneous classroom.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district regulations.
• Collaborates with Heads of School and Deans to develop strategies for student success.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by school leadership.
