Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide for Solon Academy in Solon, Ohio. The role supports the Teacher with lessons, helps promote positive student behavior, and ensures a safe classroom climate. You will assist with activities, events, and clerical tasks while upholding the school’s philosophy and policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or the Paraprofessional’s Exam completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic classroom technology.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher with lessons and support individual or small groups.
• Support classroom activities and student/parent relations as directed by teachers.
• Assist with school activities (meetings, events, field trips) and basic clerical tasks (grading, copying).
• Help maintain classroom and school area cleanliness; support safe school climate.
