Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Foundation Academy of Mansfield in Mansfield, Ohio. The role supports the Teacher with classroom activities and helps promote positive student behaviors in academics and extracurriculars.

The Instructional Aide provides oversight to ensure student safety, assists with duties and adheres to school philosophy and policies. Experience in education or related fields is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework, or Paraprofessional Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Plan classroom activities and assist with parent relations.
• Assist with school activities and events (field trips, meetings, etc.).
• Perform clerical duties, including grading papers and making copies.
• Assist the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintain cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom and other school areas.
• Understand and implement the school’s philosophy and mission statement.
• Other duties as assigned (field trips, duty assignments, etc.).
