Job summary

York County School Division is seeking a Para-Educator to assist the classroom teacher by performing duties related to the learning process, including monitoring student progress and reinforcing skills taught by the teacher. The role requires an Associates Degree or higher, or relevant experience with additional qualifications.

The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, effective communication skills, and a willingness to serve all students while performing various responsibilities in a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with additional 48 semester credit hours.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualifies for Tier Two.
• Ability to assist in the implementation of an instructional program.

Responsibilities

• May substitute for the classroom teacher for short periods of time.
• Assists with daily routine tasks related to instructional activities.
• Monitors students under the direction/supervision of the teacher.
