Job summary

The role focuses on supervising and instructing in classroom and off-campus activities, adhering to BIPs, and implementing behavior management strategies.

The position supports IEP implementation, data collection, and collaboration in a nonpublic special education day program with 11-month scheduling;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred.
• PCM or CPI training will be provided by the department.
• May be required to drive Institute vans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and assessment for students with developmental disabilities.
• Adhere to behavior plans and use ABA/PBIS principles as indicated.
• Record data accurately in a timely manner.
• Organize materials and support technology in instructional delivery.
• Participate in meetings, supervision, and professional development.
• May drive Institute vans to transport students and staff.
• Support tasks related to lifeskills and independence development.
