Job summary

Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a Classroom Aide Float to support the classroom team and help implement developmentally appropriate lessons. You will assist with activities, reinforce educational goals, and attend to the individual needs of children in a safe, organized environment.

The role requires CPI certification and experience with children or developmental delays. You may travel between BHSC locations and participate in bus duty and breakfast/lunch procedures in accordance with

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; CPI certification may be required.
Experience with children or in a classroom setting and/or working with children/adults with developmental delays/disabilities.
Incumbent will need to obtain CPI certification and maintain it.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities.
Work as a team member in classroom design and implementation.
Maintain a healthy, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Escort children to and from classrooms per bus procedures.
Distribute Breakfast/Lunch following NYSED Health Department and OCFS guidelines.
Attend mandatory meetings, training and procedures as stated in the employee handbook.
Travel to and between BHSC locations as assigned.
