Job summary

Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is seeking a Classroom Aide Floater to support teachers in a dynamic early-childhood setting. You will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, reinforce educational goals, and attend to the individual needs of children, including busing and breakfast/lunch procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and CPI certification, with travel between BHSC locations as needed to support programs and families.

Qualifications

Must obtain CPI certification prior to employment.
Demonstrates good judgement and empathy when interacting with children and families.
Shows drive and energy to manage a dynamic classroom environment.
Sensitive to individual needs and responsive to children.
Works well with children and collaborates with staff and families.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities.
Work as a team member in classroom design and implementation.
Maintain a healthy, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Escort children to and from classrooms per bus procedures.
Assist with Breakfast/Lunch procedures under NYSED, Health Department and OCFS guidelines.
Follow all staff policies and the employee handbook in daily duties.
Follow CPI guidelines for behavior management.
Travel to and between BHSC locations as assigned.
