Job summary

The Summit Center in Western New York is looking for a Classroom Aide to support the lead teacher and the educational team. You will assist with instruction, classroom tasks, and student support, requiring strong communication, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of childcare experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and support for students as directed by lead teacher.
• Assist teacher to implement and monitor lesson plans, data collection and charting systems.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries in classroom settings.
• Support home-school communication and engage with families as needed.
• Complete required paperwork and administrative duties related to classroom tasks.

Pay: $20.34/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, or 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM, 35 hrs./week

Your Impact as a Classroom Aide

The Classroom Aide supports the lead teacher and educational team by assisting with instruction, classroom tasks, and student support. This role requires strong communication skills, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively with students and staff both in and outside the classroom.

• Assist in instruction and fulfillment of IEP mandates
• Assist teacher to implement and monitor individual lesson plans, data collection and charting systems
• Assist in conducting classroom activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of need
• Assist with routine classroom functions
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Assist with home-school communication
• Assist with all required paperwork to be completed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
