Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking an Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) for its Arlington, VA location. The AFSO will lead the Security Information Management System, ensuring the accuracy of security records and overseeing classified operations.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and over three years of relevant experience. IDT offers a generous benefits package including PTO, 401(k), and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a security position, preferably with government or government contractors.
• Working knowledge of security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary lead for the Security Information Management System (SIMS).
• Conduct internal audits, identify compliance trends, and prepare data for assessments.
• Manage personnel security applications and provide routine status updates.
