Job summary

Maine Oxy is hiring a HazMat Class B Driver for local routes in Maine. Expect hourly pay of $30–$32 with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Full-time, home every night and weekends, with overtime typically available.

The role includes pre/post-trip inspections, customer relations, and safe handling of cylinders; benefits are available and the work supports a safety-focused mission.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement and airbrakes.
• 21+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.
• A clean record: no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Able to meet DOT physical qualification standards.
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets and comfortable with basic computer order entry.
• Experience handling compressed gases is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Run a scheduled local route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any issues.
• Keep load manifests and vehicle paperwork accurate and balanced with truck counts.
• Build good customer relationships and help them stay ahead of their cylinder needs.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Follow all DOT and OSHA regulations and keep the truck clean and professional.
