Job summary

Maine Oxy is hiring a Class B Route Driver – CDL with HazMat to run local routes delivering compressed gas cylinders, liquids and hard goods. You’ll be home nightly and on weekends, with no overnights. The role emphasizes safety, vehicle maintenance, and strong customer relations.

Earn $30/hour with full-time hours, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and overtime typically available. Home every night and weekends, with a steady schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement and airbrakes.
• At least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years
• A clean record: no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years
• Able to meet DOT physical qualification standards
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets and comfortable with basic computer order entry
• Experience handling compressed gases is a plus, not a requirement

Responsibilities

• Run a scheduled local route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any issues
• Keep load manifests and vehicle paperwork accurate and balanced with truck counts
• Build good customer relationships and help them stay ahead of their cylinder needs
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Follow all DOT and OSHA regulations and keep the truck clean and professional

Job Details: Job Location: Maine - Rockland - Rockland, ME, Salary Range: $30.00 - $30.00Hourly, Maine Oxy has an immediate opening for a Class B Route Driver – Class B CDL with a HazMat Endorsement.

Home on nights and weekends! You’ll run a scheduled local route delivering compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and hard goods to our customers, then head home at the end of the day. No overnights, no long hauls. Just steady routes, a well-maintained truck, and a team that puts safety first.

$30/hour hourly pay, plus jump in with a $5,000 sign on bonus! Full time, local routes; home every night and weekends, steady work, and overtime typically available!

What to expect (this is physical, hands-on work)

• Drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours, with frequent bending, standing, and reaching
• Routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds, occasionally more with equipment
• Work indoors and out, from roughly -10°F to over 100°F
• Use your senses to spot leaking gas from cylinders (see, hear, smell)
