Job summary

Maine Oxy is seeking a Class A HazMat Driver for regional routes with home weekends and overtime opportunities. Compensated at $30–$31 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus. This full-time role emphasizes safety, on-time delivery of helium and other gases, and solid customer service.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years old.
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.
• A clean driving record: no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Run a scheduled regional route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling.
• Safely deliver helium compressed gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any issues.
• Keep load manifests and vehicle paperwork accurate and balanced with truck counts.
• Build good customer relationships and help them stay ahead of their cylinder needs.
• Follow all DOT and OSHA regulations and keep the truck clean and professional.

$30-31 hourly pay, plus jump in with a $3,000 sign on bonus! Full time, regional routes, home weekends, steady work, and overtime typically available!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Run a scheduled regional route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling

Schedule

• Depart Monday morning
• On the road Monday through Thursday/Friday; overnights 3 to 4 nights per week, depending on the zone
• Territory is divided into 4 zones, one zone per week, so you cover the same general area all week.
• You stay in a hotel, not a sleeper

Qualifications

What you need

• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years old
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years
• A clean record: no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years
• Able to meet DOT physical qualification standards
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets and comfortable with basic computer order entry
• Experience handling compressed gases is a plus, not a requirement
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports
• Routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs, occasionally 76 to 100+ lbs
• Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and handling
• Outdoor work in temperatures from -10 to over 100 degrees
• Ability to detect leaking gas from cylinders by sound or smell
