Job summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking qualified Class B Drivers to deliver fresh produce to customers across the Portland Metro area and beyond. Schedule includes early hours with nightly home time and opportunities for growth.

You will be responsible for safe, accurate deliveries, load/unload with a pallet jack, and outstanding customer service at each stop. We offer strong benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL and medical card Interstate qualification, registered.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift.
• Per DOT rules, read and understand English; satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver produce safely to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.
• Check invoices as deliveries are made.
• Load/unload product with electric pallet jack.
• Provide superior customer service at each delivery.
• Assist with credit memos and COD payments as needed.
• Maintain a team-oriented, customer-focused attitude.
• Operate equipment safely and keep it in good condition.

Insurance Requirements: To be eligible for this role, candidates must be at least 23 years of age and possess a CDL Class B or A, and have maintained an acceptable driving record (both personal and commercial).

Job Description

Schedule: Typical dispatch times are between 12 AM and 4 AM

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To:

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues
• Professionally maintained, reliable and safe equipment
• Palletized product is delivered to a dock or with a lift gate
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements
