Job summary

Charlie's Produce in Portland, Oregon is hiring Non-CDL Drivers. In this role, you will deliver fresh produce to customers across the Portland Metro area, ensuring safe and efficient handling of products.

The ideal candidate will be at least 23 years old, have a valid Class C (Non-CDL) license, and possess 1+ years of driving experience. We offer an amazing company culture, medical benefits, and starting pay of $23/hour with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver produce to customers.
• Accurately check invoices during deliveries.
• Load and unload products using an electric pallet jack.
• Provide superior customer service during interactions.
• Assist with credit memos and COD payments.
• Maintain reliability and safety of equipment.

Job Description

Schedule: Typical dispatch times are between 3 AM and 6 AM

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.

Essential Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues
• Professionally maintained, reliable and safe equipment
• Palletized product is delivered to a dock or with a lift gate
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Be 23 yrs. or older due to insurance requirements.
• 1+ year of driving experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class C (Non-CDL) license and medical card Interstate qualification, registered.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift.
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English Satisfactory driving record.
