Compost Connection Inc. is seeking a reliable Class B Driver to join our Grandview team. You will operate a Class A/B vehicle on daily routes, pick up organic waste, and ensure safe, compliant operations while representing a mission-driven company focused on sustainability.

The role requires DOT knowledge, a clean MVR, and the ability to work independently or with a helper on varying routes. Join us to contribute to greener waste management in Missouri.

Formación

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• 1–2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Clean MVR and driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong time management and route independence.
• Experience in waste hauling or route driving preferred.
• Map reading without smartphone.
• Proficient with tablet-based collection reporting.
• Ability to work with or without a helper.
• Safety-conscious attitude.

About the Role

Compost Connection is looking for a reliable and motivated Class B Driver to join our growing team in Grandview, MO. If you take pride in your work, love being on the road, and want to be part of a company making a real environmental impact, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A or B commercial vehicle to complete daily collection and delivery routes safely and efficiently


• Pick up and transport organic waste and compost materials from residential and/or commercial customers


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations


• Maintain accurate route logs, delivery records, and driver documentation


• Communicate professionally with customers and resolve service issues in the field


• Keep vehicle clean, fueled, and in proper working condition


• Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required


• 1-2 years of driving experience with a CDL


• Ability to pre-trip and post-trip your truck daily, write up issues for mechanic.


• Clean driving record with a satisfactory MVR


• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance


• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading, and operating equipment


• Strong time management skills and ability to complete routes independently


• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious work ethic


• Prior experience in waste management, hauling, or route driving preferred


• Ability to read a map to navigate to your desitination w/o use of smart phone


• Ability to use computerized software on tablet for collection reporting.


• Ability to handle physical workload, must be able to lift 50 pounds all day.


• Sometimes you work with a helper and sometimes you have to work alone, driving and collecting at same time depending on size of route
