Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is seeking a CDL Class B Delivery Driver to provide timely, accurate deliveries to customers in the Walton, KY area. You will interact with customers, ensure equipment is operated safely, and maintain compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires punctuality, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and with a team. A professional appearance in Halperns’ uniform is essential, and lifting or moving heavy product is expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of Halperns’ products.
• Follow all company and DOT policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Accurately collect customer payments and safeguard funds.
• Monitor reefer temperature and report issues promptly.
• Complete daily pre/post trip inspections and check-ins with accuracy.
• Communicate customer concerns with management and sales.
• Manage paperwork (registers, credits, pickups, etc.).
• Maintain truck cab and trailer in a clean, organized state.

Communicates customer issues and concerns. Operates Halperns’ equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail, safe work habits, working knowledge of equipment and the ability to deal effectively with customers and the public. ***Essential Functions: see below for level requirements**** Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of Halperns’ products.* Follows all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies and procedures.* Builds and maintains good customer relationships. Demonstrates self-control.* Accurately collects customer payments. Safeguards company funds and follows Halperns’ banking policies.* Monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.* Completes daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.* Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns.* Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manages paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc* Maintains the truck cab and trailer in a clean and organized manner* Attends department meetings* Performs other duties as assigned. ***Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:**** Ability to adhere to all safety/compliance regulations and procedures.* Must maintain a professional appearance wearing the Halperns’ uniform.* This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.* Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment.* Must be goal oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude.* Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language.* Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of product. ***Equipment / Tools / Technology:**** Ability to operate a van, straight truck and/or tractor-trailer CMV as appropriate* Must be able to operate a dolly with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.* Uses dollies and other safety equipment to aid in the lifting and carrying of products.You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.**BE PART OF AN AMAZING CULTURE WHERE WHAT MATTERS TO YOU, MATTERS TO US!**Halperns' Steak & Seafood values our customers and understands that their success is largely dependent upon their workforce.
