Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations in Milford, CT seeks a Tractor Trailer Driver to safely operate a heavy truck, service customers on assigned routes, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, load and unload waste, interact with customers and dispatchers, and complete route sheets while upholding our commitment to reliability and safety. CDL Class B or higher and prior driving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluids, safety equipment and controls are in working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or by the dispatcher.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor; dispose of material at the designated facility per safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced promptly and professionally.
• Maintain readiness of the vehicle by monitoring its condition and performing routine cleaning as needed.
• Complete required route and productivity reports and adhere to productivity standards.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a professional, honest, and cooperative demeanor with customers and coworkers.
