Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers in a safe, timely and courteous manner.

You will be a company ambassador, interacting with customers and returning home each night in Minnesota. Responsibilities include dropping off/picking up equipment, operating trucks, complying with safety regulations, maintaining logs and inspections, and suggesting equipment to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“rollbacks” or “dove tails”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-B.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ other needs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
