Job summary

Vesco Oil Corp. seeks a local delivery driver to transport products between Lansing and Grand Rapids. You will operate a diesel or gasoline truck, load and unload goods, and maintain accurate driver logs while ensuring safety and compliance.

Candidates should have a valid CDL and a clean driving record. Hazmat endorsement is preferred, with training offered for the right applicants. This is a local, day-shift role with benefits and a signing bonus.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

• Work with our product vendor on product loading timing
• Deliver product from the Lansing area to the Grand Rapids area
• Drives diesel or gas powered truck from point to point safely.
• repares receipts for load drop off and picked up.
• Makes inspection of vehicle as required by policy and law to ensure the vehicle is safe to
• operate and has ample amounts of fluid levels.
• Occasionally assists in loading truck and always cleans truck out upon turn in.
• Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck on route.
• Reports all road hazards observed en-route. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Maintains driver log according to ICC regulations.
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Complies with all regulations, rules, and company procedures while performing job duties.
