Job summary

Van Eerden Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Grand Rapids, MI to join our team. You will deliver products to customer locations on a daily route, ensuring on-time arrivals and accurate deliveries.

Our pay structure includes paid training followed by a component pay plan; most first-year drivers earn a strong weekly income. We offer a benefits package, a supportive team, and opportunities for growth within our family-owned company.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required and DOT medical card.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driving record and ability to meet FMCSA hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customer locations meeting scheduled delivery times.
• Manually unload products from trailer and place in designated areas.
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures.
• Collect customer payments when required.
• Provide professional customer service to enhance the client experience.
• Safely operate commercial vehicles in various areas and weather conditions.
• Comply with FMCSA hours of service and safety regulations.

Our drivers are the face of Van Eerden and strive to effectively deliver product on-time to our customers, with the highest level of customer service. Pay:

Start earning immediately with paid training! Once training is complete, you'll move into our component pay structure, which rewards your productivity with additional earnings potential. Most first-year drivers earn between $1,400 and $1,700 per week working a standard 5-day schedule. Salary varies by route type, business conditions, and each driver's work ethic.

Day Routes that depart and return to Grand Rapids, MI.

About the Job:

• Deliver products to customer locations meeting scheduled customer delivery times.
• Manually unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler and place product neatly and carefully in designated customer storage areas
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Collect customer payments when required.
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
• Safely and efficiently operate commercial motor vehicles in urban, suburban and rural areas in all weather conditions.
• Lift, push or move products that frequently weigh up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75lbs.
• Comply with FMCSA rules and regulations for DOT hours of service and compliance.
• Perform all work within Company safety practices.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age.
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen.
• Background check free from felonies

Certificates & Licenses

• License to drive - valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• Medical card
