Description of Position:

The truck driver position supports production by loading, receiving and or transporting materials to specified areas in production on a forklift and by moving trailers to and from the loading dock and offsite warehouse in the company truck. Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this individual must be able to remain fully attentive of their work surroundings while operating company vehicles. Individuals must be able to adapt to various work assignments; must keep their work area clean and follow all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines. In addition, individuals must work well with others in a supportive team environment to meet shipping, production, quality, and quantity standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support production using a forklift (Sit-down, Stand-Up Counterbalance, Stand Up Reach)
  • Move trailers to and from the Shipping/Receiving dock to support Production in company truck.
  • Transports goods between production plant and off-site storage facility.
  • Accurately completes daily D.O.T. log and trip sheets.
  • Utilization of inventory management system (SAP).
  • Operates company trucks in a safe manner and ensures the equipment used is in good working order by checking and reporting equipment problems.
  • Follows all safety and traffic rules when operating a company vehicle.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties including sweeping and collecting trash.
  • Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have valid Class A CDL.
  • Must have 12 months of verifiable OTR experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Forklift experience required (Sit-Down, Stand-Up Counterbalance, or Stand-Up Reach).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
