Job Summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking passionate Class A drivers with a safety-first mindset to join our dynamic team. The CDL A position involves operating a company vehicle to transfer freight safely and efficiently to designated locations within specified times. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, reloading freight manually or with mechanical aid, and completing all required paperwork according to government regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
2. Deliver and/or pick up freight from customer locations and terminals as directed by dispatch or supervisor
3. Ensure all shipping documentation is ready for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments to delivery points
4. Load and unload freight at customer sites and terminals, with or without mechanical assistance depending on freight size

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• One year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI or DWI in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
• Willing to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements; renewals reimbursable

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently enter and exit the vehicle cab
• Ability to maneuver freight weighing up to 2,500 pounds using mechanical aid
• Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet
• Capability to operate and connect/disconnect various vehicle components and perform routine vehicle checks
