Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an experienced driver to operate a straight truck, tractor-trailer, or doubles, delivering products safely to customers, warehouses, and distributors on the designated route. You will maintain logs and communicate with supervisors while upholding high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, reporting delays, and performing routine vehicle maintenance. Must meet DOT and DFA requirements and hold a valid Class A CDL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years driving a tractor trailer, straight truck, or doubles in last 5 years preferred.
• Must meet DOT and DFA requirements and have a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules and safety practices.
• Deliver products per route schedule; place deliveries as required at customer sites.
• Report delays due to road conditions, accidents or breakdowns.
• Load/unload as needed; may stock and order products.
• Maintain good relations with customers; communicate with supervisors.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and keep vehicle clean.
• Complete daily paperwork and maintain logs per policy.
• Attend driver workshops and training sessions.
