Job summary

Estes Express Lines in New Jersey seeks a dedicated CDL-A tractor-trailer driver to safely haul freight and maintain compliance with FMCSA and local laws. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, handle hazardous materials, and ensure cargo security across routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age and eligible to work in the US
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug Clearinghouse
• Must reside within 75 miles of the Service Center/work assignment
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements
• Stable employment history preferred
• Able to operate a forklift (7,500 lb capacity)
• Able to lift ~70 lbs and handle pallets/tugs
• Capable of driving all routes in various terrains
• Able to pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
• English reading/speaking proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer per laws and company safety rules
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain required records and FMCSA compliance
• Handle hazardous materials safely and securely
• Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies
• May perform dock work, loading/unloading freight as needed
• Utilize in-cab technology and electronic logs
• Provide courteous service to customers and the public
• Work varied schedules including over-the-road trips as needed
• Attend to safety, maintenance, and reporting with supervision
