Basic Purpose:

Gemini Motor Transport operates trucks across the United States, servicing Love's Travel Stops, wholesale and retail customers. Our Fuel Transport positions are among the best in the industry. Gemini strives to achieve only the highest safety ratings in our business, for our professional drivers and loyal customers.

Compensation and Schedule Overview:

• Availability to work variable shifts as dictated by business needs. Typical shift is Sun - Thu - Night Shift - 4PM Start (Fri/Sat OFF).
• Drivers are paid between $27-$29 per hour depending on shift and location.
• Overtime pay starting at 40 hours worked per week.
• Drivers are eligible for monthly and annual bonuses.

Major Responsibilities:

• Drive defensively, follow all laws and regulations to uphold Gemini’s safety reputation.
• Operate company trucks to load and deliver fuel and commodities to Love’s and third-party customers. Gemini operates 24/7/365.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules for hazardous cargo tank vehicles.
• Follow proper loading and unloading procedures for transported cargos.
• Maintain contact with logistics as required.
• Complete electronic logs and necessary documentation.
• Adhere to professional conduct standards with customers, colleagues, vendors, and the public.

Document Requirements:

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License with HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements, as legally required.
• Qualify physically and obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate per 49 CFR 391.43-49.

Experience and Knowledge:

• 1-2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving or certification from an accredited truck driving school.
• Knowledge of DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Skills and Physical Demands:

• Work variable shifts as needed.
• Drive up to 11 hours and work up to 14 hours, handling hazardous materials and extended sitting.
• Be at least 21 years old and meet 49 CFR 391.11(b)(1) qualifications.
• Read and speak English fluently, per 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2).
• Perform vehicle inspections, including walking, bending, reaching, pushing, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
• Handle heavy equipment and perform hooking and dropping of trailers, including climbing onto trailers as necessary.
• Operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Maintain normal hearing, vision, and olfactory senses.
