Pembroke & Co. in Auburn, ME is seeking a Freight Truck Dispatcher to manage day-to-day dispatch for a growing team of Class A CDL drivers. You will keep loads moving, adjust to delays, and make quick decisions in a hands-on dispatch role within a local transportation company.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of dispatch experience, working with TMS systems, and strong communication skills to coordinate routes, load status, and carrier paperwork while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on tractor-trailer dispatch experience.
• Experience in carrier dispatch with CDL Class A drivers.
• Familiarity with ICC regulations and safety awareness (preferred).
• Experience with Google Suite, Profit Tools, FourKites, and TMS Scheduling (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and manage schedules for Class A CDL drivers.
• Coordinate routes, loads, deliveries, and pickups using TMS software.
• Serve as the main point of contact for drivers and inform on load status, delays, and changes.
• Troubleshoot inquiries, delays, breakdowns, and rerouting needs in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with brokerage to qualify carriers and administer paperwork.
• Maintain records and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
