Job summary

Performance Food Group in Minnesota is hiring an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and local routes, delivering food and related products to customers. The role supports safe driving practices and customer service while training with a driver trainer.

Get on the road early with a 5-day work week (Sunday–Saturday) and guaranteed earnings of $320 per day, plus pay based on cases, miles, and stops.

Qualifications

• 0-6 months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL A license.
• DOT Health Card current or ability to secure one.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a clean MVR.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with trainer and assist in deliveries as required.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer and secure freight; complete paperwork accurately.
• Deliver orders on schedule and unload at customer locations.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and handle documentation.
• Load returns and ensure equipment is secured after shifts.
