Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Class A CDL Driver for a Monday–Friday route with occasional overnight stays. The role involves delivering to local and long‑distance customers, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance while providing excellent customer service.

Compensation is $32.21 per hour in USD, with benefits and a path to reliable, steady employment. You will be part of Bunzl North America, delivering essential goods and supporting a wide network.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• A clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and load/unload.
• Understand DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Pass background checks and drug tests; maintain medical card.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver goods to local and long-distance customer locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain logs and paperwork and submit timely reports.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report vehicle issues promptly to management.

Description

Class A CDL Driver | Monday-Friday | $32.21/hr. | Occasional Overnights-hotel stay including $50.00 per diem each day on the road

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.

• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.

• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.

• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.

• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.

• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.

• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.

• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.

• Experience with GPS and routing software.
