Job summary

Bunzl plc is seeking a Class A Driver in New York to safely operate tractor-trailers and deliver goods to customer locations, with a 5am start time and a competitive hourly rate. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, manage loading/unloading, and maintain compliance with DOT/ELD regulations.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to pass background checks and drug tests, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• A clean driving record is required per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and assist with loading/unloading.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Must pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods locally and long-distance to customer locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely submission of logs/paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure items are securely fastened.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Report any vehicle issues to management promptly.

Class A Driver| M-F | 5am Start Time | $28.75/hr.

A Day in the Life

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves

• Valid Class A CDL.

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
