Job summary

Qualifications

• Delivery experience within a 53ft tractor trailer.
• Experience handling manual loads in any industry.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Clean driving record.

• Experience with DOT compliance and logging hours.
• Confident in road checks (L1-L3).
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• On-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at designated locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships.
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (up to 53ft tractor trailers).
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and communicating changes or challenges.
• Loading and unloading; prioritizing and organizing truck per schedule.
• Managing a route per leadership direction and delivering timely service.
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused CLASS A driver for our Shakopee/Des Moines location. The driver will be transporting sharps and medical waste containers between our locations for disposal.This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits.

The above schedule would provide a driver with a 42–45-hour work week. Friday could run on an as needed basis on pure overtime but would be another round trip from DSM to Shakopee and returning if it was needed.

What will your job involve?
