Job summary

Maine Oxy in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a full-time CDL driver to safely deliver helium cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers. You will load/unload, perform daily vehicle inspections, and maintain DOT compliance while building relationships with key accounts.

Expect overnights 3–4 nights a week and a home weekend schedule. Requirements include a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, at least 1 year of driving experience or recent training, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $31.00 - $32.00 Hourly

What to expect on the schedule

• Depart Monday morning
• On the road Monday through Thursday/Friday
• Overnights 3 to 4 nights per week, depending on the zone
• Return home on Friday

Territory is divided into 4 zones, one zone per week, so you cover the same general area all week.

You stay in a hotel, not a sleeper.

What you will do

• Build relationships with regular customers and help manage their inventory needs

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
• 1 year of driving experience or driving school training within the past 4 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports

The work and the truck

Brand new trailer and tractor

Routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs, occasionally 76 to 100+ lbs

Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and handling

Outdoor work in temperatures from -10 to over 100 degrees

Ability to detect leaking gas from cylinders by sound or smell
