Job summary

Maine Oxy-ACETYLENE SUPPLY COMPANY is seeking drivers to deliver helium cylinders on a regional over-the-road route. You will be away several nights per week and return home on weekends, with a predictable schedule and regular customers.

You will load/unload, perform safety checks, and maintain DOT compliance while building relationships with customers and meeting inventory needs. A Class A CDL with Hazmat, plus related driving experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience or driving school training within the past 4 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver helium compressed gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers.
• Load and unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance.
• Build relationships with regular customers and help manage their inventory needs.
