Job summary

Maine Oxy is hiring for a full-time regional over-the-road driver based in Reading, PA. You will deliver helium cylinders to repeat customers on a predictable weekly route, staying in hotels and returning home on weekends. A CDL with Hazmat, one year of driving experience, and a high school diploma are required.

Expect overnights 3–4 nights per week, a strong benefits package, and a sign-on bonus. You will operate a brand-new tractor/trailer, with a structured schedule and a stable territory

Qualifications

• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, read highway signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver helium cylinders to scheduled, repeat customers.
• Load and unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance.
• Build relationships with regular customers and help manage their inventory needs.

You run a dedicated territory delivering helium cylinders to established, repeat customers. No cold stops, no chasing new freight, no touch-and-go dispatching. Clean, non-flammable product, a familiar route every week, and you are home every weekend.

Pay: hourly plus overtime, with strong overtime opportunity January through June.

What to expect on the schedule

This is a regional over-the-road route, not a home-daily job. We are upfront about that because the structure is predictable and the weekends are yours.

• Depart Monday morning
• On the road Monday through Thursday/Friday
• Overnights 3 to 4 nights per week, depending on the zone
• Return home on Friday
• Territory is divided into 4 zones, one zone per week, so you cover the same general area all week.
• You stay in a hotel, not a sleeper

The work and the truck

• Brand new trailer and tractor
• Routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs, occasionally 76 to 100+ lbs
• Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and handling
• Outdoor work in temperatures from -10 to over 100 degrees
• Ability to detect leaking gas from cylinders by sound or smell
